CHICAGO – In a first for a major U.S. bike brand, Trek Bicycle Corporation, the leading U.S. bike manufacturer, is now selling bicycles online via a new omni-channel e-commerce site – developed by Chicago-based digital commerce consultancy Loop Integration.
A joint venture between cross-channel systems integrator contiigo and global marketing and technology consultancy Amaze, Loop Integration led on the design, user experience, systems integration and solutions architecture to deliver the complete end-to-end e-commerce solution.
The solution acts to complement Trek’s existing network of distributors and retailers, delivering a complete omni-channel approach for the brand’s customer base by allowing it to sell its products online. Consumers purchasing a Trek bicycle online are able to nominate a retailer to visit to collect their assembled product.
